Andrea and
I
are spending the winter in
Wrightsville Beach, NC, and have rented a small,
furnished
oceanfront
townhouse, convenient to just about everything we'd ever need. We bought a
1996 Ford Explorer we intend to sell back when we
leave. Each day we savor the view of the sea through sliding glass doors
from the time the dawn brightens our bedroom until 'sundowner' time in the
early evening. You can see a live shot of what the surf is doing right now
and you can take a 360 tour of our living room, deck, bedroom (not live),
etc., by clicking either beach
cam or
virtual tour of our place.
The ski
es are lit with stars.
Pelicans dive for all their meals, and porpoises frolic just beyond
the breakers. We have joined a
small club nearby that has better cardio and
strength equipment than most of the fancier gyms we have visited around the
country.

The airport is also
nearby; we both anticipate a burst of business and personal opportunities.
UNC Wilmington offers some great enrichment programs; Andrea is taking a
Coast Guard course in boating. Chuck is taking Spanish and
continuing his efforts building strategic relationships for
Bridges
and has started a
consulting practice geared to startup and
early stage companies.
On
New
Year's Day, we stopped at the new Wright Brothers Memorial on our
way home.
A wonderful
symbolic remembrance of all the milestones and the pioneers in the last
amazing century. Andrea and Ian had remembered their father and grandfather,
Andy Treat, an aviator in his heart his whole life.
We've had some great
visits, and look forward to friends and family dropping by for a day or two
or three. We welcome you in the same way we welcome visitors aboard Celebrate. Make
yourselves known and we'll plan some great times. Here are some shots of
